How long will it take to fill my prescription ?

The length of time it takes to fill a prescription is dependent on several factors which include:

The number of items on the prescription

Whether the prescription requires special preparation e.g. Mixing / compounding

How many prescriptions are ahead in the queue?

Whether all the necessary information is available on the prescription to prepare it

Whether there are any ambiguities, or if a product is not available that was prescribe.

Whether we have to get in contact with the prescriber.

The wait time can be drastically reduced if the prescription is sent ahead of time to be prepared. You also have the option of leaving the prescription and returning when it is most convenient to collect, or your prescription item can be delivered. (conditions apply)

How can I send my prescriptions to you?

You can send your prescription by:

  • The prescription may be called in by your doctor.

What tests / checks do you offer?

We offer Free Blood Pressure checks, Total Cholesterol and Blood Sugar Tests at a low cost.

Do you open on Sundays and Public Holidays?

Not currently, however we will begin to do so in the very near future.

Can I purchase gifts and household items?

Yes, we have a wide selection of gifts for ALL and several household items for you to choose from.

Do you accept NHF (National Health Fund) card?

Yes, we accept all major health cards including NHF, MEDECUS, Canopy and Sagicor. We also accept all major debit and credit cards.

Can I fill a prescription that was not written in Jamaica?

The Pharmacy Laws in Jamaica stipulates that the only prescriptions that  can be filled are those that have been written by a physician who is registered and certified to practice in Jamaica. However, if you have such a prescription  we suggest you visit a local doctor who would be able to write a prescription for you that can be filled in Jamaica.

What is an expired prescription?

A prescription sheet expires a year from when it was written by your physician/ medical practitioner.

Do you do deliveries?

Yes, within a certain radius of our location. Conditions apply

I have difficulty remembering to take my medication, how can Ardenne Pharmacy help?

We have several pill organizers and convenient travel containers for your medicine. We could also assist with organizing your medication for you in pill boxes/ organizers.
